"A Kid's Guide To Random Acts of Kindness"

Our mission here is simple...
We strongly believe in the power of kindness, gratitude, mindfulness and intention.

EARTH KINDNESS
How can you make a difference for our earth?
Read below to find out!
The way we treat our planet directly affects every living thing...
Now and for future generations. Small acts like reducing waste, caring for natural spaces, and making mindful choices help protect the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the ecosystems we depend on. When we show kindness to the Earth, we are showing kindness to people, animals, and communities everywhere... creating a healthier, more hopeful world for all.

DON'T LITTER!
CLEAN OUR EARTH
Litter harms our Earth by polluting land and waterways, endangering wildlife, and breaking down into tiny pieces that contaminate soil, water, and even the food we eat. Trash left behind can and does harm animals, damages natural habitats, and makes communities unsafe and unhealthy. When we do our part by picking up litter and disposing of waste properly, we help protect ecosystems, keep our neighborhoods beautiful, and showing respect for the planet we all share!
RECYCLE, REUSE,
REDUCE
Reducing, reusing, and recycling helps protect our planet by cutting down on waste, conserving natural resources, and saving energy. When we reduce what we use, we lessen pollution and the strain on landfills. Reusing items gives them a longer life and prevents unnecessary trash, while recycling turns old materials into new products instead of harming the environment. By practicing the three R’s, we can keep our Earth cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable for future generations.

DITCH SINGLE
USE PLASTIC
Single-use plastics may be convenient, but they cause lasting harm to our planet. These plastics often end up in landfills, waterways, and oceans, where they can take hundreds of years to break down and can injure or kill wildlife. They also contribute to pollution and climate change through the resources and energy used to produce them. By ditching single-use plastics and choosing reusable options instead, we help protect ecosystems, reduce waste, and create a cleaner, healthier Earth for future generations.
DIY GARDEN
SEED BOMBS
Making seed bombs is a simple and fun way to help the environment and bring more life to our communities. Seed bombs allow people of all ages to spread native wildflowers and plants into empty or neglected spaces, helping support pollinators like bees and butterflies. They encourage greener neighborhoods, improve soil health, and promote biodiversity with very little cost or effort.

HOST OR JOIN A BEACH CLEANUP
Cleaning our beaches is important because it protects marine life, keeps our water clean, and helps preserve these beautiful spaces for everyone to enjoy. Trash left on beaches can harm animals, pollute the ocean, and eventually enter the food chain, affecting both wildlife and people. By taking time to clean up our beaches, we reduce pollution, protect ecosystems, and show care for our planet—making sure future generations can enjoy safe, healthy shores.
SUPPORT YOUR
LOCAL FARMERS
Supporting our local farmers helps protect our Earth by reducing the environmental impact of long-distance food transportation, which lowers pollution and fuel use. Local farmers often care deeply for the land they depend on, using more sustainable practices that protect soil, water, and wildlife. When we buy local, we also preserve green spaces, strengthen our community, and encourage farming methods that keep our planet healthier for future generations.

CREATE A BEE
& INSECT HOTEL
Creating a bee or insect hotel is a simple but powerful act of earth kindness because it gives vital pollinators and beneficial insects a safe place to rest, nest, and survive. Bees and insects play a huge role in pollinating plants, growing our food, and keeping ecosystems healthy, yet many are losing their habitats due to development and pesticides. By building an insect hotel, she helps support biodiversity, protect these hardworking creatures, and create a healthier environment for everyone. It’s a small action that makes a big difference for the earth
DITCH BALLOONS:
USE ALTERNATIVES
Ditching balloons is a simple but powerful act of earth kindness. Even biodegradable balloons don’t truly disappear—they break into small pieces that can harm wildlife, pollute oceans, and damage ecosystems when animals mistake them for food. By choosing safer alternatives like bubbles, ribbons, or reusable decorations, we protect animals, keep our land and water clean, and show respect for the planet we all share.

MAKE YOUR OWN
POLLINATOR GARDEN
Creating a pollinator garden is a powerful act of earth kindness because it provides essential food and habitat for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators that our ecosystems depend on. These small creatures play a huge role in growing the fruits, vegetables, and flowers we rely on, yet their populations are declining due to habitat loss and chemicals. By planting native, pollinator-friendly flowers, we help restore balance to nature, support biodiversity, and create a healthier environment for future generations.
WALK OR BIKE
WHEN POSSIBLE
Choosing to walk or bike when possible is a simple yet powerful act of earth kindness. By leaving the car behind, we reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions that harm our planet and contribute to climate change. Walking and biking also conserve natural resources, reduce traffic, and create cleaner, quieter communities.

LEAVE LEAF
PILES ALONE
Leaving leaf piles alone is a simple yet powerful way to show kindness to the Earth. Fallen leaves create natural habitats for insects, pollinators, and small animals, providing them with food, shelter, and protection during colder months. As the leaves decompose, they naturally enrich the soil, returning nutrients and supporting healthy plant growth. By resisting the urge to rake everything away, we nurture local wildlife, improve soil health, and honor the natural cycles of the ecosystem—small acts that make a big difference for our planet.
OPT FOR EMAILS:
GO PAPERLESS
Going paperless is a simple yet powerful way to show kindness to our planet. By reducing our paper use, we save trees, conserve water, and cut down on the energy and chemicals needed to produce and transport paper. Less paper waste also means less trash in landfills and fewer pollutants in our environment. Choosing digital options whenever possible!

START YOUR
OWN GARDEN
Starting your own garden is a wonderful way to practice earth kindness because it helps nurture the planet while bringing life and beauty to our surroundings. By planting flowers, vegetables, or native plants, we provide food and shelter for pollinators like bees and butterflies, improve air quality, and support healthy soil. Gardens also reduce waste by allowing us to compost and grow our own food, lowering our reliance on packaged goods.
TREAT YOUR
BACKYARD FRIENDS
Feeding backyard birds and providing fresh water is a simple yet powerful way to show earth kindness. Birds play an important role in our ecosystems by pollinating plants, spreading seeds, and controlling insect populations. By offering them food and water, especially during harsh weather or scarce seasons, we help them survive and thrive, supporting biodiversity right in our own backyards. This small act of care not only nurtures wildlife but also deepens our connection to nature, reminding us that kindness to the earth includes even the smallest of creatures.

ADVOCATE FOR &
SUPPORT EFFORTS
We should advocate for and support efforts to protect and heal our planet because every action, big or small, contributes to a healthier Earth. By raising our voices, sharing knowledge, and backing sustainable initiatives, we help create a ripple effect of positive change. Supporting environmental efforts shows kindness not only to the planet but also to all living beings who depend on it, ensuring cleaner air, water, and habitats for future generations. Advocacy turns our care into action, proving that kindness to the Earth can lead to real, lasting impact.
TURN OFF LIGHTS:
CONSERVE ENERGY
Turning off lights when they’re not needed and conserving energy is a simple but powerful way to show kindness to the Earth. By using less electricity, we reduce the demand on power plants, which in turn lowers greenhouse gas emissions and pollution that harm our planet. Conserving energy also helps protect natural resources, saves money, and sets a positive example for others in our community. Every small action, like flipping a switch, adds up to a big difference, showing respect and care for the environment we all share.

START A COMMUNITY
SEED LIBRARY
Starting a community seed library is a wonderful act of earth kindness because it nurtures local biodiversity, supports sustainable gardening, and helps protect heirloom and native plant varieties. By sharing seeds freely, we empower neighbors to grow their own food, reduce reliance on industrial agriculture, and foster a stronger connection to the natural world. A seed library also encourages education, collaboration, and environmental stewardship, making it a living hub of generosity that benefits both people and the planet.
PLANT MORE
TREES!
Planting more trees is a powerful act of earth kindness because trees give so much back to our planet. They clean the air we breathe, provide homes for countless animals, and help combat climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide. Trees also prevent soil erosion, conserve water, and create cooler, greener spaces for communities to enjoy. By planting more trees, we are not only caring for the environment but also creating a lasting legacy of life and beauty that benefits people, animals, and the planet for generations to come.
